Position Summary

We are currently seeking reliable, motivated, and hardworking individuals to join our seafood processing team in Plymouth, Massachusetts, as Shellfish Sorters.

No previous experience or English proficiency is required. We are looking for dependable individuals who are willing to learn, follow instructions, and work effectively in a team-oriented production environment.

The Shellfish Sorter is responsible for inspecting, sorting, handling, and organizing shellfish according to established quality, cleanliness, and food safety standards.

Position Details

• Job Title: Shellfish Sorter – 1st Shift

• Location: Plymouth, MA

• Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

• Shift: First Shift

• Employment Type: Full-Time

• Transportation: Reliable personal transportation required

Key Responsibilities

• Sort and separate shellfish according to established quality standards.

• Visually inspect shellfish to identify damaged or unacceptable products.

• Handle and organize shellfish in designated containers and work areas.

• Maintain a consistent work pace to meet daily production goals.

• Follow supervisor instructions and established production procedures.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.

• Properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Work collaboratively with team members to support efficient production.

• Report product quality concerns or unsafe conditions to supervisors.

• Perform additional production-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• No previous work experience required; training will be provided.

• English proficiency is not required.

• Must have reliable personal transportation to and from the work location.

• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

• Ability to stand for extended periods.

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a production environment.

• Willingness to work in seafood processing conditions, which may include wet or cold environments.

• Ability to follow instructions and established workplace procedures.

• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Commitment to workplace safety, cleanliness, and product quality.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods during the work shift.

• Ability to perform repetitive hand movements and sorting tasks.

• Ability to handle and move shellfish and production materials.

• Ability to work in environments that may involve moisture, cold temperatures, and seafood odors.

• Ability to use required personal protective equipment.
